Wizards of Oz

Heartened by a phonecall from one of Lunicorn's best pals all the way from Sydney in Australia this morning, the Lunicorns got to thinking about time and distance. Our pal Rascal, as we like to call her, sounded like she was just in the next room, and due to some internet program, it only cost her a penny per minute, which meant we could talk and talk....Fantastic!
We've not seen her since March this year, when she set off with her beau on a big adventure round the world. Yet it seemed like it was just yesterday. So going back to our 'clocking in and out of friendships' debate - Rascal may be on the other side of the world (oooh, we feel a KT Tunstall song coming on) but we've probably had a longer conversation with her this year, than some of our closer to home friends. The moral, it doesn't matter! As long as friends know you're there and thinking about them, it's not about how much mileage we clock up on the chatometer, or how many times we schedule 'catch-ups', real friends just know and that's the important thing.
We can't wait to see Rascal again next March, but also know that she's on a possibly life-changing journey at the moment. So, if you're reading this lady, thank you, thank you for your call.
What have we been up to since our last confession? A few corporate drop ins with our magical wares, and a Farmer's Market in Falkirk this weekend coming. That, plus, our believe book is finally ready to be unleashed. See website for further info. We're extremely happy with it, even more so, that it's entirely to our spec and design, and that we found a real live bookbinder in Glasgow, with ancient looking machines and everything. Our 'Tokyo Hot' chillies have now gone red, the leaves on the trees are starting to turn, and autumn is here. It's time to find the jumpers from the back of the wardrobe and make soup. Meanwhile, if you're a subscriber to Cygnus Magazine, you might have noted Diana Cooper's article entitled 'A little light from Diana'. In it, she talks about how the unicorns are returning to earth....And on that note, as we go to join in the celebrations of our friend Maggie's 50th birthday tonight, we bid you 'g'day'....
Love & Light
The Lunicorns
