Unicorns in Perth
The Lunicorns found themselves hosting a stall at the Perth Christmas Craft Fair in King Edward Street on Sunday, and lo and behold, the Lunicorn wares were located directly in front of Perth's Unicorn statue outside St. John's Shopping Centre. We couldn't help tell people who may have looked somewhat quizzically at our stall, that there was a unicorn already in our midst, and pointed backwards to the Perth Unicorn heading up the spire of what presumably at one point was the market square. These unicorns get EVERYWHERE! And as if that weren't enough, above it on the shopping centre itself was an illuminated angel. Suffice to say, we had a good day, despite being somewhat afraid of the over-sized cherubs aloft Perth City Halls...
And at Merchant Square on Saturday, the week before, in Glasgow, the Lunicornmobile was parked outside a hostelry called Bargo whose inhabitants were suitably intrigued by our branded jeep with our logo and the words "raising your spirit". Ever keen to explain, as we were packing up, we showed them some of our fine wares, and lo and behold no. 2, we indeed did make a sale! Whilst endeavouring mostly to create the products we would ourselves wish to have (see boxes etc.on our website), a secret supplier procured us not one, but twenty eight gorgeous cuddly unicorn soft toys, and well, they've all gone, with only one to keep ourselves. The link here is that 'Sparkle' as we named her, was indeed the very unicorn that found itself into Bargo that night, and has since been seen with a red wine stained mane. Hope those scampish students aren't leading Sparkle astray...Also ten rocking unicorns have recently come into our possession, and if you tickle their ear, not only do they trot, but they neigh and puff too!!! But remember, a unicorn isn't just for Christmas! And on that note, the Lunicorns wish you a very wondrous Yule and Peaceful tidings for 2006. We'll certainly be using our Believe Box on Hogmanay when the bells ring to set our goals for the adventures ahead, particulary as the chains of one Lunicorn are unfastening as we speak.
Warm blessings and luminous greetings
The Lunicorns
P.S for anyone who spots the Lunicornmobile out and about and thinks it to be going irritatingly slow, then this may be because one Lunicorn received a recent errant speeding ticket and is consequently heeding the speedometer. But if you do spot us drop us an e-mail and we'll send you a free Lunicorn tattoo...
